Carbon2Green is developing a peatland restoration project near Havre-Saint-Pierre for the CORSIA market. The project is still in development, and its claims will depend on field evidence, independent validation and verified results.
International aviation produces emissions that airlines must now measure and address.
Every moving point above represents an aircraft observed during the timestamped capture window. Under CORSIA, airlines must calculate part of their international aviation emissions and cancel eligible emissions units against that obligation.
Airlines may need more eligible units than the market can currently supply.
IATA's June 2026 central scenario places cumulative first-phase demand at 213 million CORSIA eligible emissions units, against 38 million units then available on the market.
A carbon unit is useful to an airline only if it passes every CORSIA requirement.
Programme approval, eligible activities and dates, host-country authorization, independent verification and registry cancellation all matter. A project has to plan for those requirements from the beginning.
Carbon2Green is developing a peatland restoration project near Havre-Saint-Pierre.
Peatlands accumulate carbon slowly through water, vegetation and time. Before restoration begins, Carbon2Green must understand the site's hydrology, peat, vegetation and greenhouse-gas behaviour.
